The UWE European Project was founded with the aim of empowering European women in order to enable them to take power and control of difficult situations in their own societies. This is done through a number of sub-projects carried out by the NFAs of the UWE Member countries.

The European Project Steering Group has the following members:

• Members: Kirsti Jukkola and Helena Koivisto (both also form Finland).
