IFUW Member Networks & Discussions

IFUW Member Networks offer members opportunities to discuss issues, share information and make personal contacts with other IFUW members throughout the world.

The e-mail networks are open to any IFUW member with e-mail access. Each has a different focus. Some look at issue areas (Advocacy, Projects & Environment); other target specific age groups (Young Members & Next Generation).

To join a network, please fill in the subscription form.
Members may subscribe to as many networks as they wish.

Each network has a moderator who stimulates discussion and reviews messages to remove viruses and spam. PlantageNet, a private company in the USA, provides technical support, computer space and software necessary to support these networks as a free, public service to IFUW. For problems subscribing or sending messages to a network please contact contact us.

IFUW E-mail Discussions

IFUW holds regular, thematic e-mail discussions, each lasting for approximately one month. These discussions allow IFUW members from around the globe to share experiences and information on subjects of interest to university women. Recent discussion topics have included: Women and health; Science and gender; and Multi-generational leadership.

The next discussion will begin on 24 October and run for three weeks. The topic is  Maternal Health, Parental Leave and Childcare. The purpose of the discussion is to encourage members and NFAs to take action on the resolution adopted by the 30th IFUW Conference – “Work-Life Balance for Women between Professional Careers and Family Responsibilities”.

To join the e-mail discussion group, please send us an email with the subject “Subscribe”.
