The Resolutions Committee oversees the call for resolutions to Conference and Council, facilitates the resolutions process at Meetings, and encourages IFUW and national affiliate action on resolutions between Conferences

The Committee screens all proposed resolutions to see that they are in line with IFUW purposes and priorities, and checks for duplication. If more than one national affiliate has submitted resolutions on the same issue, the Committee confers with the parties and encourages them to submit a joint resolution. The Committee also checks for conformity in wording and structure and prepares final versions of resolutions for circulation to national affiliates.

At Conference the Resolutions Committee assists in the preparation of amendments and consensual texts, works with IFUW staff to prepare a consensus document for distribution to delegates prior to the final voting session, and assists with translation.

In between Conferences the Committee monitors follow-up action on resolutions taken by national federations and associations and, when necessary, issues special action alerts.
