The resources section of the IFUW Programme for Action features a range of reference materials that can support research and action on the theme, Women: Agents for Change. These are organized in four sections: Other sections of the IFUW web site offer related resources that may be useful, including materials for building leadership capacity, the section on international advocacy and the section with links to many IFUW's partners as well as the United Nations and its specialized agencies. IFUW policy is particularly important in supporting advocacy work. Many of the policy resolutions adopted over the year can be helpful in preparing a brief or report for your government. For example, IFUW policy resolutions related to education address issues such as Educational Opportunities for Teenage Mothers, continuing education, higher Education, or literacy and Women. Resolutions on Peace include International Code of Conduct on Arms Transfers; Nuclear Disarmament and Landmines. Where possible, the listings will include resources accessible in different languages and resources of interest to particular regions, as well as print and audiovisual materials. IFUW's Programme for Action will be evolving throughout the period 2004 to 2007. The resources section will be updated as new materials become available, so visit this site often. Please send us suggestions for resource links that you have found useful in your own programme for action, as well as descriptions and photographs of any projects in these areas that your branch or national affiliate has undertaken. |
