Nominations, 2010-2013

The call for nominations to IFUW's 2010-2013 Board of Officers and Standing Committees is now closed.
The list of candiates is available here.  

Website biographical data should be ready the first week in March.  NFAs will be notified as soon as the material is online.  Printed copies of the biographical data will not be distributed.

NFAs are reminded that it is IFUW’s established policy and practice that there should be no campaigning in support of candidates or by the candidates themselves.

Election and Appointment Processes

  • Elections will take place during the 30th IFUW Conference in Mexico City from 5-9 August 2010. 
  • The IFUW Board will be elected by voting delegates to the 30th IFUW Conference.  NFAs unable to be represented will have the possibilitiy of voting by postal ballot. 
  • The Finance Committee, Membership Committee and the Status of Women Committee will be elected during the Conference by Members of the 91st Council.
  • The Fellowships Committee and the Resolutions Committee will be appointed by the incoming Board of Officers in Mexico City.
  • The Assistant Treasurers will be appointed by the 91st Council.

Special Committees

The call for suggestions for members to serve on the Hegg Hoffet and Project Development Committees will be circulated later this month.

Call for Candidates for IFUW Young Leader Positions, 2010-2013

Vivian Ike, the International Coordinator for Young Members, has issued a call for candidates for the three IFUW Young Member Leadership Positions for 2010-2013: 

  • International Coordinator for Young Members
  • Young Members E-mail Network Moderator
  • Young Members Newsletter Editor. 

Job descriptions and the application process details are available here. NFAs are encouraged to advertise this opportunity widely to all members under 40.  Those wishing to apply should send their CV, together with a letter explaining how they meet the key criteria relevant to the position in which they are interested, to ymapps@ifuw.org by the 31st of March 2010.
