Currently
Scottish Executive Liaison Officer for the British Federation serving
on its Executive in London, a member of the Scottish Standing Committee
of the Federation in Scotland, previously Regional Representative
and Public Affairs Consultant for Scotland on BFWG Executive.
Currently
a member of the Steering Group of the Scottish Women's Convention
representing Women's Issues to the Scottish Executive, arranging
the celebrations of International Women's Day for Scotland and representing
the Federation at committees of the Scottish Parliament. This
gives me the opportunity to communicate effectively for the Federation
in Scotland, increase its public profile and provide advice on women's
issues to those in authority and so effecting positive change.
I
also have experience in chairing focus groups, writing reports and
organising conferences.
I
am a lay member of the National Appeal Panel for Pharmaceutical
Services in Scotland using my skills to communicate, assess information
and write reports. I am also a memer of many local community
committees.
I
have attended the two most recent University Women of Europe Conferences
in Cork and The Hague and have attended the IFUW Conference in Yokohama
and led a workshop at the IFUW Conference in Ottawa. I look
forward to the IFUW Conference in Manchester.
