the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs promoting gender responsive
governance, and developing a Gender Training Manual for senior public

- In Vanuatu, Performance Improvement Adviser, Public Service Commission
and a range of consultancy positions with AusAID, NZAID, EU and

| Goals
for the position and the contribution the candidate believes she can
personally make if elected or appointed |
My goal for this position is to be a team member of the Board, contributing
to raising the status of IFUW as an internationally recognised, non-government
organisation of excellence and a leading world partner in promoting
the quality of life and furthering the education of women and girls.
If elected I will contribute:
- Passionate commitment to the vision and mission of IFUW, having
been an active member since 1974, served as President, Secretary,
Treasurer, Projects and Publicity Conveners at NFA level over 30 years,
involved in the establishment of three associations, and visited NFAs
in every continent.
- Personal experience of the solidarity of women internationally and
a commitment to leadership in strengthening this solidarity.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of global issues and international
organisations, having collaborated closely with UN agencies and international
women's organisations, and fully supported the ongoing international
advocacy work of IFUW.
Commitment to strengthening communications between individual members
and associations face to face and electronically, with well established
networks on gender issues around the world.
Policy planning, implementation, management, financial and report
writing skills and experience to support staff to continue to improve
the efficiency and effectiveness of IFUW.
