I
am a specialist in 'Finance'. I worked for one of the biggest
Banks in Turkey as a 'Credit Marketing Expert'(1984-88). Then, I
preferred raising my two daughters. Meanwhile, I worked for
our family business(wholesaling Michelin and Continental tyres).
I was not a regular worker because I gave the priorty to
my daughters. Now, they are almost 20 and 17 ,and both of
them are students at University.

I
have been a member of Turkish Association of University Woman since
1984.
When I was a University student (not yet a member), my aunt Prof.Dr.Belkis
CANFESCI was the President of the Turkish Association. I participate
with her to several activities not only in Turkey but also all around
the world.
Those days, I got the opportunity to meet many distinguished and
talented members of IFUW.
Unfortunately, I was a passive member of my Association for many
years.
But I was active in other fields.
I am one of the members of Board of Trustees of the'Galatasaray
Egitim Vakfi'( Foundation of Education of my High school).
I worked for the Commitees of Parents Union at my daughter's schools
during twelve years first as a Member, later as President.
I also work for some associations, especially educational, as a
volunteer.
In April 2006, I was elected for the Board of Directors of TAUW.
I am the CIR of TAUW.

As
the new CIR, I am working hard to compensate for the years I was
not able to be active.
I specially wanted to apply for the 'Membership Commitee' , because
we all need
'FRESH BLOOD' for each Association or Federation,and also for IFUW
.
If we can attract young graduate's attention once, I am sure we
would obtain much more in few time.
I would like to do my best for the Membership Commitee and IFUW.

After
I graduated from one of the oldest French High school 'Galatasaray
Lisesi' in Istanbul (1979),I obtained my licence degree in "Business
Administration" at the University of Istanbul(1983). I attended
an Intensive English Program in London(1983-84).Afterwards,I also
attended many seminars,workshops,etc, about Banking. |
