I
have been a very active member of NAUW since 1975 and have participated
in most activities and served in various capacities including the
position of National Vice President.
I served as a Resource Person for a seminar on -Women in Management-1998.
I am counselling young girls (now) once a month at the Women Development
Centre.
I am the current president of Abuja Branch as well as the National
Treasurer. I served as a member of a Constitution Review Committee
that has just concluded the review of the NAUW constitution. I volunteer
once a week at a village community to help out with destitude children.
We prepare food, buy toiletries and other items, take to them, arrange
teachers and spend time with them.
I am in addition working closely with the Ministry of Women Affairs
in Nigeria especially in relation to the care of Orphans & Vulnarable
Children (OVC).
I believe that I am ably qualified to run for this position.

My
goal is to bring my skills and experience to bear on the work of
the Membership committee thereby enhancing its performance. I want
to encourage and assist in the formation of new affiliates. I believe
that IFUW is better positioned to assist in bringing peace back
to this world by encouraging these affiliates to foster peace in
their respective countries. The more affiliates we admit the more
IFUW objectives will be realized. I believe it is worth while spending
some extra time to counsel the young affiliates regarding membership
drive, growth and projects that will that will encourage these and
lead to achievement of our objectives. I will be willing to offer
my time to give this assistance.
