Goals for this position and the contribution you believe you can personally make if elected or appointed

All of the organizations for which I volunteer, have as their mission, the improvement in the lives of women and children both globally and locally. Most of the organizations I have worked with in the last 10 years have international connections. During the course of my involvement as a web developer for non-profits I have met many dedicated, interesting women. I have been directly involved with IFUW, CFUW, AAUW, WG-USA, Project Five-O and VGIF.

I have attended several CSW meetings in NYC in the past few years as an interested 'by-stander'. I would like to get more involved. I feel that I can use my professional skills and my dedication to the groups I currently am involved with to keep the issues of women's empowerment moving forward.
