Skills in administration, public relations, personnel management and development, team building, community relations and publicity associated with the positions of: AFUW Vice-President, AFUW (Queensland) President. In 2006, AFUW-Q awarded almost A$200,000 in fellowships, scholarships and bursaries. Web Manager of AFUW-Q's website www.afuwq.org.au, Editor of AFUW-Q's Newsletter "The Voice of Graduate Women in Queensland". Mentor of a recipient of Hegg-Hoffet funding. This woman has now satisfactorily obtained a position in a Qld Government Department. Founder & President - Queensland Branch of Women Welcome Women World Wide. Honorary Life member of the International Women Welcome Women World Wide (2005). President- Qld Association of State (Government) School Principals (QASSP). Metropolitan (Brisbane) President - QASSP - Metropolitan Region (Bayside) School. Principal of schools in Queensland ranging in size from 200 to 1134 students. Member of Lyceum Club of Brisbane Involvement in community organisations: Meals on Wheels, Safety House Schemes, Editor of newsletter for an aged-care establishment.

Goals for the position and the contribution the candidate believes she can personally make if elected or appointed

As a member of the Committee for the Award of International Fellowships, my goal would be to work as a member of a team: to provide support and enhance one of IFUW's key priorities, "The promotion of lifelong learning, especially for women and girls" to identify applicants who intend to undertake studies in IFUW's three key areas for action: Education, the Information Society, and Human Security and Peace to place university education within the reach of women, who are, at present, unable to access it to enable women to undertake advanced degree courses to enhance women's participation in scientific and technological fields to support advanced research, study and training for women graduates to provide education to women who may proceed to positions of influence and high level decision-making in their countries to enable women and girls to achieve their educational goals.
