Professor of Linguistics

I have taught Linguistics and Nigerian Languages both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

I was the Head of the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka twice: 1996-1999 and 2002-2004

I have been involved in the organisation of seminars, workshops and conferences within and outside my department.

I am the current National President of my affiliate, the Nigerian Association of University Women, NAUW:

I am currently a member of the IFUW Status of Women Committee.
Goals for the position and the contribution the candidate believes she can personally make if elected or appointed

If I am elected I hope to work with commitment to:

- Promote the goals and vision of IFUW

- Encourage women in my affiliate and others to make a positive difference in their places of residence and beyond

- Increase the visibility of IFUW
