Current member of the Hegg Hoffett Committee.

Goals for this position and the contribution you believe you can personally make if elected or appointed

I would like the work of the HH committee to be more widely known among the various refugee agencies. I believe that the extensive network of contacts I have built up over the years can be most useful not only in making the committee known, but also in vetting and assisting the refugees themselves.
I would also like to increase awareness of the existence of the committee among NFAs.

What strategies do you think the Committee could use to increase NFA involvement and support for the Hegg Hoffet Fund?

The committee could increase awareness of the existence of the fund and provide more information to NFAs on the work being done. More frequent fundraising events would be one way of increasing visibility. Recipients of aid could be invited to speak to NFAs about their experience.
