| Goals for this position and the contribution you believe you can personally make if elected or appointed |
I'm looking for the IFUW strengthening, as the first
world feminist college organization, renewing their field
campaigns. In particular, I would like to encourage new
projects especially in those countries where the rights
of women are lagging behind. Incorporate more young people
to invigorate the organization, and thus have greater impact
on the development of women in the world. |
| What do you see as the role of the Board? |
Personally, I believe that the role played by the
Board is fundamental for our organization. I think it is
important to have experienced people who can provide their
knowledge to solve the problems that women face. In this
way, it will be definitely much easier to support the challenges
that organization itself faces today. |
Board members serve as committee liaisons or have special responsibilities in the following areas: international advocacy, programme, projects, membership, communications, finance, resolutions, fellowshis and assistance to displaced women graduates.
For which of these roles are you most suited and why? |
Resolutions and fellowships. Since these have been
part of my activities preceded the commission ruled in UNAM.
I have considerable experience providing fellowships and
making decisions at board level. |
