  • The Japanese Association of University Women (JAUW) is organizing a symposium on "Work and Life Balance" to be held in October 2008.  In preparation, JAUW members are conducting a comparative study looking at policies in different countries that enable both women and men to balance work with responsibilities related to the family - provision of childcare leave, elderly and sick care leave, options for part-time work and flexible work hours.  They would like to know what policies have been implemented in your respective countries and how effective these have been. The survey is available at http://www.ifuw.org/docs/2008-japan-survey-worklifebalance.pdf.  Responses should be sent sent to JAUW CIR, .
