The IFUW Board of Officers and the British Federation of Women Graduates hope to welcome many of you in Manchester.

Please read this page carefully before registering,
as it contains important information.

Registration fees

All fees will be paid in pounds sterling to the Local Arrangements Committee in England.

The registration fee for members and non-members participating in the full conference is:

  • £395 for those booking and paying by 30 April 2007 - no longer available
  • £450 for those booking and paying between 1 June and 30 June 2007
  • £500 for those booking and paying after 30 June 200.

The registration fee includes:

  • Opening Ceremony with keynote address from Mary Robinson
  • All business and plenary sessions
  • Lunches 11 to 16 August inclusive (packed lunch on Tuesday)
  • Morning and afternoon refreshments
  • Workshops and Interdisciplinary Seminars
  • British Evening celebrating BFWG’s 100th birthday
  • Half-day tours on Tuesday, 14 August
  • Gala dinner at Manchester United Football Club
  • Documentation

The registration fee does not include accommodation (to be booked separately) or evening meals. Evening meals will be available on the campus (except on 13 and 16 August), but must be purchased in advance. Individual evening meals cost £11. A special five-meal package may also be purchased for the evenings of 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 August at a reduced cost of £52.50. The option to purchase these meals, either individually or as a package, is provided on the online registration form. Given the number of activities on the Conference programme, participants are strongly encouraged to purchase their evening meals in advance and eat on campus.

Partial enrolment is available for those wishing to attend from Friday 10 August through Sunday 12 August.  The partial enrolment fee of £275 covers the Opening Ceremony, the business and plenary sessions on Saturday and Sunday, the Workshops and Interdisciplinary Seminars on Sunday, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and the British Evening celebrating BFWG's 100th birthday on Saturday evening.

The fee for accompanying non-members who wish to participate only in the Interdisciplinary Seminars and the social events is £75. It includes the Opening Ceremony, the Interdisciplinary Seminars, one half-day tour (packed lunch included), the British Evening and the Gala Dinner. Accompanying non-member tours may be booked separately.  The partial enorlment fee for accompanying non-members who wish to attend only Friday 10 August through Sunday 12 August is $40.

 

How to book

You are requested to book on-line if possible (see the bottom of this page).

If you cannot book online, please complete a paper registration form and send it with your cheque in pounds sterling or a copy of your bank transfer order to IFUW Conference 2007 Ltd, 4 Mandeville Courtyard, 142 Battersea Park Road, London SW11 4NB United Kingdom, marked ‘Registration’ on the envelope. You can download a copy of the registration form in Word format or as a PDF.

You will receive confirmation of your booking either by email or by post depending on your chosen method of registration. You will need to bring a copy of this confirmation, all receipts and proofs of payment and bookings with you to Manchester, including any for accommodation you book.

If you change any of your contact details between registration and attendance at the Conference, please advise us immediately so we can correct our records.

Booking accommodation

Accommodation will need to be booked directly with providers. Please see the Accommodation page for additional information.

Map of the conference site

A map of the Fallowfield Campus of Manchester University, site of the IFUW Conference, is available here. A large number of Conference activities will be held at the Armitage Centre. On-site accommodation is available in Richmond Park Hall (5 minute walk to Armitage Centre) and Woolton Hall (10 minute walk to Armitage Centre).

How to pay via credit card

Credit card booking is only available for on-line payment via PayPal, a secure intermediary site.

If you choose to pay through PayPal, you will automatically be sent to the PayPal website once you have completed the online registration form. If you have a PayPal account, enter your username and password. If you do not have a PayPal account, click on the link that says "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available)."

When entering your credit card information, please be sure to type your name exactly as it appears on the credit card and do not enter any spaces in your card number.

If you experience problems with your credit card payment, please choose the options "Send Invoice".

How to pay by bank transfer or bank draft

Bank drafts in pounds sterling and bank transfers will also be accepted. Bank draft and transfer information is available upon request.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation in writing must be sent to the IFUW Conference 2007 Ltd, 4 Mandeville Courtyard, 142 Battersea Park Road, London SW11 4NB, United Kingdom or by email. An administration fee of £50 will be deducted for cancellations received before 30 April 2007. No refunds will be given after this date.

No deduction in the registration fee will be given if participants do not attend any part of the Conference, any social event or lunches which are included in that fee.

Before you book

The online registration form will ask you to indicate your choices for the half-day tours, accompanying non-member tours, and pre- and post-conference tours. Please have your choices ready before you click on the button below.

If you are paying via PayPal, when you have completed your transaction please be sure to click on the "Back to Merchant" button.
