Health promotion consultant, with over thirty years of service in public health and wide experience in governance. Currently serving as Regional Councillor for Otago, New Zealand and chair of the Consents Committee. New Zealand Public Health Champion Award 2002 and Certificate for Good Decision Making for Resource Management Law Functions in 2005. Served on the Membership Committee between 1995 and 1998, and as Vice President from 2001 to 2007, which provided experience working with most of the IFUW Standing Committees, as well as the Young Members group.

Work experience as health care administrator and taught political science and public administration. Served as member of the Resolutions Committee (1998-2001) and then convener (2004-2007). Ad hoc member of the Status of Women Committee (March 2006-2007). Active member of the Indian Federation of University Women's Associations, and a member of All India Women's Conference.

Consultant working with international organizations, specialising in health. Currently Director serving as Director of the Commonwealth Medical Trust. Within IFUW, previously served as convener of the IFUW Membership Committee 2001-2007; member of the IFUW Membership Committee 1998-2001; and convener of the Way Forward Group 1998-2001. Treasurer of the British Federation of Women Graduates.

International development assistance experience in the Pacific, Asia and Africa. IFUW experience at international level and in the Pacific, Asia and Africa, including convenor, IFUW Projects Development Committee, 2004-2007, Secretary General, Rwanda Association of University Women, 2006-present, Projects Convener, Vanuatu Association of University Women, 2000-2003.

Retired secondary school teacher of mathematics, history and special education. Past President of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW). 2004-2007 IFUW Vice-President acting as Board liaison for Constitution and By Laws revision, the Resolutions Committee and Advocacy. Closely follows activities of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, having served as a CFUW delegate (1997-2006) and IFUW delegate (2006). Led IFUW delegation to the 2006 World Urban Forum and attended the 2006 World Peace Conference as CFUW representative.

Computer Sytems and Training Consultant, managing training projects for big corportations. Consults on strategies to implement large sustainable projects and their short-term preliminary application. Member of the South African Association of Women Graduates. having held office on national and branch committees, including as membership secretary and treasurer. Has also organized and managed the finances of confererence. In 2006 developed and presented the new dues model for IFUW.
