Our subproject to the UWE EP was founded on the fact that the whole of Croatia’s occupied territory at the time, one third of the country to be exact, was emplaced by mines. The existing movement Croatia without Mines, assisted by some other states and institutions, has provided help in destroying the mines in mined areas but there is a lot more to be done. Our Association calls for solidarity of all UWE members in providing assistance for mine clearance and related activities not only in Croatia but in Bosnia and Herzegovina too, which might eventually lead to EUROPE WITHOUT MINES.
