Nepal Association of University Women
Library and Reading Room for Girls and Women

The reading room, in central Kathmandu, established in 1996, provides a place for women and girls to study and have access to books and publications, particularly those related to women's issues, and career development.   Additional facilities are being added for readers whenever possible, and these include a photocopier and computer.

The reading room is staffed by members of the Nepal Association of University Women on a voluntary basis and is also used for meetings and training sessions of the association.  Over 50 books, periodicals and journals have been added to the collection since 2001.   Daily usage of the facility is increasing steadily and books are now also loaned out.
