Scholarship Project

The Samoa Association of Women Graduates (SAWG) will provide scholarships for young women whose families are struggling to pay for highter level education.  This will be a new component of SAWG's mentoring programme, which currently offers dictionaries as prizes to final year students.  Scholarships will be awarded to girls at the following levels:

  • Year 13 Scholarship (final year of school) for best all-round female student.  Three scholarships to be awarded.
  • Foundation Year Scholarship at the National University of Samoa (NUS) for students from rural areas.  Two scholarships to be awarded.
  • Graduate Female Scholarship for women who are struggling to complete their first of post graduate degree due to financial hardship.  Two scholarships to be awarded.
  • Scholarships for young women with special needs at Loto Taumafai (a school for the disabled).  Three scholarships to be awarded.
